Lambeth College fights cuts

UCU and Unison members at Lambeth College are fighting plans by their management for £3.5 million in cuts – which will mean up to a hundred teaching and support staff losing their jobs – and a much worse education for students and service for the local community.

They are also fighting course closures, increased class sizes and increases to staff workloads, cuts to course hours, increases to course fees, and cuts to student support services.

Workers at Lambeth will strike alongside the UCU day of action on 5 May.

Lambeth local government Unison, which organises support workers at the college, has officially voted to support the NCAFC. But in any case, we will be supporting their struggle.
